What Do Swede's Call Gardens?

I'm watching this HGTV show, "House Hunters," taking place in Stockholm. And I noticed that the Swedish woman refers to their back and front yards as "gardens." If this is the case, then what do Swedes call the United States term of gardens? Do they call gardens flower-beds or something? Or do they use the term gardens for everything. Just curious.
