Yes he can cancel the insurance -well the bank won't let him cancel the insurance if he has a loan on the car but he can't cancel the loan-but he could stop paying and it could be repossessed-be sure to get copies of taxes, birth certificates, marriage license, social security cards and bank doents and have them all in a safe spot when you are ready to go-including a copy of his social security number -you will need that --be careful and good luck-(Do not under any cirstances ever let him know that you are leaving-it could put you in great danger-most violence occurs when partner is pregnant and/or leaving)
