Dream about dead bodies in concrete?

I can't remember all the details of the dream but it was a number of people being slaughtered for not "believing" in the same manner as the people doing the slaughtering. They took all the bodies and began to dump them under a building and encasing them in layers of concrete. I stood there staring at the portions of the bodies sticking up through the concrete and the killers were very casual about having to add more layers of concrete to cover them up. Someone also asked "is it true that you burn when they put holy water on you?" My answer was "it's one belief". I also clearly remember seeing the tools they used for slaughtering, one being like needle nosed pliers but huge, like gardening shears. I was horribly effected by the sight and jolted awake immediately. I could interpret it literally and it would make sense but I wanted to know if these are symbolic of some other meaning - any insights?
