Ex boyfriend wants me back?

If it were me, I wouldn't bother with him. Sounds like he just cant get it all together. As for his waiting a year...sometimes it takes time to gather your thoughts. A year is not an unreasonable time to 'take a break', but at the same time, he cannot expect you to wait around either. I think that after your time apart, and his reluctance to honor his original plan of coming over to see you, until you put your foot down, tells me that he still cant commit...to much of anything.
