To all people who found "baby birds"?

I found one and kept it but I had to or else it would die. He was one the ground hopping around the street and into the corner and I waited and saw no nest and no parents. I was scared to leave him there because he was straying off to far and there are a ton of raccoons and cats that can kill the little thing. So I kept him and today put him in a wildlife care center. Not all people know about this. No biggie
