Extracurricular activities?
OKAY! First thing you have to do is take a breath and relax! :) If you are stressing out this much now, you will never get through medical school! You seem to have a great head on your shoulders and that is a huge part of the battle that you have already won, so give yourself a break! Now, to your question. Is there not any extracurricular activities that you could at least tolerate the next two years? Schools are going to look at GPA's, extracurricular activities, and volunteer work definitely helps. You really need to try and find at least one club to join. What about a foreign language club like french club, latin club, or spanish club? What about a science club? If you don't have one of those that maybe something you might speak to your teacher about starting. Volunteering at a hospital is good too as well as all the certifications. That is a huge plus. Another big plus is try and find a doctor who would be willing to mentor you. Not only would this help you figure out what medical field you want to go into, they can also write a letter of recommendation for you when it comes time to apply for college. As for not feeling well-rounded, try to get out there a bit more, but most people aren't well-rounded until they graduate from college. This is because now you live in a very small, limited space and it is when you get to college that you learn about life and the real world. Take it easy on yourself because from what I have read you seem to already be a pretty amazing individual. Don't ever lose that! Good luck with everything!!! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
