Covering for keyboard?

My computer is in the kitchen and the keyboard gets really sticky over time which results in this icky fur/dustbunny combo of stuff between the keys. I use Dawn Dishwashing detergent and a slightly wet papertowel as well as a foam Q-tip to clean between the keys, but I'd like to prevent the problem. Can you suggest a covering that is THIN? The ones I've seen at Best Buy and the computer store are what I would call an industrial thickness and uncomfortable to type with.
