Could I commit this crime without fear of being reported (Sorry for long post)?

Well if they tried to hurt you in any way,then you can pull out a shotgun on them (its called self defense).But if they didn't your best bet is to not do anything with a shotgun because you will get put in jail for that too.The best thing you should do is just keep a look out and if you see them come up open the window or door and scream at them tell them to get away or anything to get them to leave,then you phone the police!This is the safest and easiest way to do it,hope this works!
